Life Figure Session open studio for visual artists, live model provided. Sometimes, the models are clothed. Please text 479-280-0298 or 405-882-9912 to RSVP (as this is a weekly drop-in session), or to confirm whether that week's session is suitable for those under 18.
Weekly Life Figure Sessions (Gestures) on Wednesdays, 7-9 pm; $15 per artist.
The 2nd Wednesday of every month is Long Pose, from 7-10 pm; $20 per artist.

INSPIRING HOPE Juried Art Show benefiting the Friends of the OU Breast Health Network!
Friends of the OU Breast Health Network is a 501c3 Nonprofit whose mission is to raise funds to help promote awareness about breast cancer and support the work done at OU Health Breast Health Network. The Friends help fund breast mammography screening, biopsies, genetic testing and contrast mammography for women who have no other funding sources as well as support the needs of the OU Health Breast Health Network.
Artwork should "Inspire Hope". Some examples of artwork that may fit with the theme are below, however, these are not required and the theme is up to the artist's interpretation.

-Positive imagery that Inspires Hope.
-Artwork that shows uplifting imagery that could inspire people battling breast cancer.

PRISMA ART PRIZE — ROME — 20th EDITION
International Open Call for Painters, Illustrators, Printmakers and Traditional 2D Artists
Prisma Art Prize opens its 20th edition, continuing its mission as an international platform dedicated to painting and two-dimensional artistic research.
Based in Rome, the prize welcomes artists from all over the world and supports the many directions that contemporary painting can take today: from figurative to abstract, from intimate visual narratives to experimental approaches, from traditional techniques to hybrid forms of image-making.
The 20th edition will lead to the annual group exhibition at Palazzo Merulana, Rome, opening on 5 November 2026, in one of the city’s most significant cultural venues.

FEAST (Funding Emerging Artists Through Sustainable Tactics) is an annual artist grant program managed by the Paseo Arts Association that provides five hopeful artists with the opportunity to fund their creative vision, project or artistic endeavors.
Every October, selected finalists and patrons attend an evening dinner gathering where finalists pitch their projects, and the community selects a winner by vote. The selected artist receives up to $2,000 in financial support for their project and returns to the event the following year to provide an update. All fields of art are eligible! Apply

Looking to have your own art show? Exhibit applications are due on October 1, 2026, for 2027 solo or group art exhibits at the galleries of the Paseo Arts Association's Paseo Arts & Creativity Center (PACC) located in the historic Paseo Arts District.
The PAA Exhibits Committee and PAA Staff provide professional art installation, a gallery poster, press release, artwork labels, social media graphic/post, current exhibit page on website, an opening reception during the First Friday Gallery Walk with the option to hold a private event during the month.
PAA Staff and Volunteers manage sales during regular gallery hours Tuesday-Friday 11a-5p and Saturday 12-5p. The PAA's commission on all art sales is 20%.

Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition
The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for $4,500 and $1,000 artist grants.
They will be providing 6 grants totaling $13,000 USD. 2 artists will each receive $4,500 and 4 artists will each receive $1,000.
This is an open call to visual artists age 18 and older. All visual media eligible.
This open call provides you with a direct path to get your work in front of an international community of curators, artists, gallerists, and arts administrators.
In addition to grants, 30 artists will be selected for a shortlist. Additional exposure is available via our online Journal as well as our Instagram feed, currently reaching an audience over 175k.

The Radiant Healing Arts Center fall art exhibition is happening in October and we want YOUR artwork to be in it! Applications are now open for artists to submit their work for consideration in our next art show.

*Artwork must be able to be hung on a wall
*Artists are encouraged to sell their artwork and can host a workshop in our event room. (Radiant collects a 20% commission for sold artwork at the end of the show)
Every 4 months, Radiant hosts a selection of artwork hung throughout the building. Each art show will have an opening night event for the public that will include artist talks, light snacks, and local performers. Artist's work will be for sell during the showing and throughout the entire 4 months of display. Some artists may also choose to host art classes/workshops for the public using the center's event room.

Artist applications are open for Ink the Block Party 2026! We are seeking applications for Woodblock artists, Artist vendors, Muralists, and Volunteers. You can see an overview of the applications below, but for details please visit osc-arts.com to learn more and see all associated fees and deadlines. Actual event date is September 19, 2026 from 2-8PM in the 300 block of downtown Norman, Oklahoma on Crawford Ave.
FEE SUMMARY AT A GLANCE
Woodblock, registration only: $25

WOODBLOCK ARTIST (STEAMROLLER PRINT)
Artists carve a woodblock that gets inked and printed live via steamroller onto at least one piece of washed muslin cloth. OSC-Press supplies 2' x 4' MDF at 1/2" thick; self-supplied blocks must be 2'x2' or 2'x4' and 1/2" thick (other sizes require prior approval). Optional laid-back carving sessions run 6 to 8 PM on two evenings before the event, and artists can opt in to help print on event day. Blocks must be dropped off before 6 PM on the Saturday prior.
Fees:
Registration only (bring or reuse your own block): $25
2x2 MDF block plus registration: $40
2x4 MDF block plus registration: $50
ARTIST VENDORS (MARKET)
Artist market vending on event day. Vendors must provide a sales tax permit number (STS format) or SSN plus their vendor name via the city form, and must collect and remit Oklahoma sales tax (filing a Special Event Promoter application if they lack a permit). Food trucks additionally register with the City Clerk, meet OK Health Department regulations, and pass a Norman Fire Department inspection. Load-in is 12:30 PM, setup complete by 2 PM, and vendors stay until at least 7 PM (breakdown and cleanup at 8 PM).
Fee: $75 standard vending fee.
MURALIST
Four selected muralists create live, large-scale works on dedicated 4x4 ft panels in the 300 block of the Walker Arts District. Free to apply and participate; each selected artist receives a $500 award, is featured in event promotions, and works in a public, family-friendly setting. Artists bring their own supplies, with limited supplies provided by Uncanny Art House. Application deadline is August 31, 2026, with acceptance notifications on September 7.
Fee: none (free to apply; $500 award to each of the 4 selected).
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers can help with woodblock printing prep, setup, hospitality, steamroller printing (inking and layout, or clean-hands fabric handling), live mural assist, live music assist, and breakdown. Shift options include woodblock prep on Sept 16 and 18, event-day shifts on Sept 19 (early 11 AM to 3 PM, midday 2 to 6 PM, closing 5 to 9 PM), and pre-event flyer distribution.

Are you an artist in need of critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? Has a medical emergency impacted your creative practice? The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $5,000 for recent, unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art and history of direct animation, working directly with 16mm motion picture film and projection. Over four sessions, participants will explore this unique cinematic language by painting, scratching, masking, and physically manipulating 16mm leader and found footage to create your own animated film. Each participant will receive over 100 feet of film to work on, an HD digital scan of their finished project, and the skills needed to continue their filmmaking practice.
